Since 1994 the Accademia di Musica has organized in Italy the prestigious International Chamber Music Competition Pinerolo e Torino Città metropolitana, which is a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions in Geneva. Every two years outstanding young musicians from all over the world come to perform in Pinerolo and Turin.
The ensembles were competing for prizes totalling 31,500 euros.
On 2024 the Competition carry out preselection by video recording for the 2025 edition. Entrants must send their application, together with their video (recorded exclusively for this competition), by and no later than 12 February 2024. The jury admits 25 ensembles to the live competition rounds that will be held from 3 to 9 March 2025 in the concert halls of the Accademia di Musica (Pinerolo) and of Conservatorio “G. Verdi” (Torino).
The Jury consists of internationally renowned musicians: Lukas Hagen (Austria), violin; Wen-Sinn Yang (Suisse), cello; Claus Christian Schuster (Austria), piano; Gerard Caussè (France), viola; Cristo Barrios (Spain), clarinet; Francesco Pennarola (Italy), piano, Director of Conservatorio in Turin.
